Arpeggio Shapes

A guide to popular major and minor arpeggio shapes, both root 5 and root 6.

Now that you know the theory behind arpeggios, this lesson will show you some more arpeggio shapes.

MAJOR (1, 3, 5)
These arpeggios can be played over major chords. Move the root of the arpeggio (red) to be the same as the root of the chord.

MINOR (1, b3, 5)
These arpeggios can be played over minor chords. Move the root of the arpeggio (red) to be the same as the root of the chord.
